To Ulla

Great American Aran Afghan Along

Ulla, If you happen to read this, is it the Cascade 220 Superwash wool that you are using for the afghan?? It seems it is machine washable so would wear well.
I am still searching for the pattern book!

Cheers, Jean

Hi Jean,
No I am using the standard cascade 220 (not superwash, great for felting :-) ). But superwash would be much more convenient. If I ever decide to do another afghan, that would be my choice.

Thank you Ulla for that information. What colour did you use for yours. Think I will go with the Cascade 220 Superwash - just have to compare some prices first.

Colour 8010, it is a cream/natural. I bought it at Webs:
http://www.yarn.com/yarns-knitting/cascade.html
Price is $ 7.00 / skein, but I got a
25 % discount as I spend + 120 $....
+ shipping.
I will give you an update on the number of skeins needed once I am done with the border. So far it is 14.5 skeins for the squares.
Cheers,
Ulla

Thank you so much for your help Ulla. Yes that would be great if you could tell me the final amount you needed for yours. I want to make a nice cream coloured one as well.
