I'm on a roll again! Blocks 8 and 9 are done! and I even started number 10! I can't believe I'm going to be halfway!!!! LOVE this afghan though :) it's like nothing I've ever seen before.
Love your work - can you tell me what yarn you are using and how many yards/skeins it takes? I want to order the book and the yarn, but can't find how much yarn to purchase before I purchase both! Cathy cathyknits@bellsouth.net http://cathyknits.blogspot.com
According to the directions, it takes 22 balls of Plymouth Encore. I'm thinking I'm going to use just about exactly that, so if you want to do the pillows too, you'd probably want to order an extra ball or so. It uses needles in size 5 - 9 and some of them do require circs/dpns.
A blog for the knit-a-long of the Great American Aran Afghan, originally published by Knitter's Magazine.
You're welcome to join if you are making or thinking of making the afghan, any variation thereof, or some other knitted object from the stitch patterns.
